Gas prices continue to climb throughout the nation and in the Central Valley. Those who rely on diesel fuel -- including truckers and farmers -- are seeing an even greater jump in price. According to the latest fuel gauge report by AAA, Fresno residents are paying an average of $4.23 for a gallon of diesel. That's a 42 cent jump from the same time last year.
Increasing gas prices are taking a toll on drivers, especially those who rely on diesel fuel. "It's getting hard, you just won't be able to stay in business. You can only give so much," said trucker Sam Hobbs.
The increased fuel costs are passed on to the consumer but not every industry can do that.
